Ragi Onion Dosa

Ragi grain is becoming a trending food nowadays. Adults are consuming for their weight loss journey and to control diabetes and cholesterol. But to the fact it has other lots of benefits which helps in kid’s growth and development. One benefit is that it helps to strengthen bones, treats anemia, a good source of protein and amino acids. It also benefits pre-pregnancy and post- pregnancy women by helping in digestion, increase lactation and protect skin from skin anti-aging. Taking all these benefits we will discuss about an easy simple tasty come healthy recipe today. That is Ragi Onion Dosa.

Organic whole Ragi Grain

Ingredients needed:

  • Ragi flour – 2 cups
  • Water – 2 cups
  • Onion – 1 large size
  • Green chili – 1
  • Ginger – small slice
  • Curry leaves – 5 to 6 leaves
  • Coriander leaves – handful
  • Salt- 1 tbsp

Seasoning:

  • Olive oil – 2 tbsp
  • Mustard – 1 tbsp
  • Urad dal – 1 teaspoon
  • Cashew nuts – 5 nuts

First, take a bowl mix Ragi flour, salt and water. Bring it to dosa batter form. Let it be little watery so that the dosa will come crispy. Chop onion, green chili, ginger, curry leaves, coriander leaves and mix it with the batter. Season the batter with mustard, urad dal and cashew nuts.

Now the batter is READY.

Heat up the dosa pan in high heat. Let it heat up. When the dosa pan is ready, pour the batter by spreading the batter wide on the pan. So, that dosa will come crisp. Let the dosa heat on both the side.

Take out from pan and serve it with coconut chutney or Idli powder.

Kids will be loving it. And its HEALTHY too 😉
